Since everyone’s been giving their 2 cents about the shipping/character development in LoK, and since Moses, Jesus Himself, and the 12 Disciples couldn’t stop me from giving my opinion even if they wanted to, I’ll go ahead and chip my contribution.

First of all, not enough synonyms for “flawless” to describe Iroh 2.0. And since I think Asami is amazing and serves as a great foil to Korra’s personality (should do with a bit more fleshing out), it would make sense that the hero of ATLA the best character Zuko’s grandson should be the one to get Asami because let’s be real; their babies would make the most flawless things ever.

Which resolves the problem with Mako, sort of. To all the people saying Mako is a bad person, that’s a bit melodramatic to begin with. He’s confused; just because he’s 18 doesn’t mean he has life or love figured out. I don’t think we ever really do “figure out” love. He’s got feelings for two beautiful, great girls. Is it right? No. What Mako should do is break up with Asami so she can make sweet sweet love to Iroh 2.0  and not pursue a relationship with Korra at this time. I like Makorra (or I would like it more if he got his shit personal straight), but I think the best thing is for it to go on the backburner. Mako needs to spend some time figuring out who/what he really wants without being committed to anyone. If anything, I feel bad for the guy because it sucks when you feel torn between people you have feelings for. Also, this is a show for children I really doubt anyone is going to apply Mako’s love life choices when they grow up and start dating whenever it is kids date now.

Bolin, ugh. Not even going to dignify any shipping questions pertaining to him because he’s probably had a grand total of 10 lines throughout the past few episodes, 95% being comic relief and 5% spilling the beans of Mako’s kiss with Korra. 

I’m personally hoping season 2 will be more character driven instead of event driven, not because I’m 100% about the shippingjust 99%, but because I feel like we don’t really know the characters that well. There’s a lot of opportunity for Mako, Bolin, and Asami to grow as characters and I’m looking forward to it. 

So basically, fandom..
